Yakshagana: An Elementary Training in Dance and Bhaavaabhinaya

Yakshagana is a popular and proud art form of coastal Karnataka. Yakshagana is a highly stylized art form with a blend of folk and classical and is famous all over the world. Today there is an increasing interest in such an ancient arts of our land. Since Yakshagana competitions are very popular among the youth today, Yakshagana dance class is in great demand in most of the schools and colleges of coastal Karnataka. In view of this, the College has planned to start training in Yakshagana Dance and Bhavabhinaya in our College, which has been giving importance to Yakshagana for a long time. The training will be conducted as a part of College Certificate Course. Professional Yakshagana artistes will train the students. At the end of the course there will be a Yakshagana performance by the participants of the Course. The last date for registration will be on 13th October 2023. Classes will start from 26th October 2023. The course will end in the first week of February 2024.

Mode of the Course       : Offline

Course Fees                       : Rs. 1000/-

Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m -6:00p.m (Subject to change depending on regular classes and holidays)
