Content
Unit – 1 ( 30 hours)
- Basics of Disaster and its Management – Dimensions of Natural and Man-made Disaster, Policy and legal framework National and International Perspective- management, preparedness, policy, relief and rehabilitation, building codes. Disaster Management Act and Amendments.
- Stage and Cycle of Disaster management: Pre, During and Post Disaster management.
- Administrative Frame Work for Disaster, Policies and Legislation: National
- National Disaster Management and Intervention: First Aid, Mock drills and engaging people in preparedness – Mobilizing indigenous human and material resources.
- Fire and Safety –Management and Prevention
Unit – II (30 hours)
- Introduction to Counselling: Concept, basic Principles, Ethical Consideration and Counselling Skills.
- Assessment and Intervention in Counselling: Stress and Psychological Disorders
- Trauma Counselling and Management: Understanding trauma and Grief, Crisis mental Health Counselling, Yoga and Meditation as Intervention.
- Psycho-social Intervention Skills and Management : Psychological First Aid, mock sessions, case studies and material Resources.
